As you can tell, we haven’t moved far. Last night we anchored out at Johns Island and I am happy to report that we have left Jurassic Park. The bugs were much more in line with what we would expect in Vermont. Still tough taking the guys out at that bewitching hour, but all good.

Today, the winds shifted and our anchorage wasn’t that protected. So, we decided to move. With Jurassic Park, hopefully behind us, we sought out another anchorage just 8 miles away.

The most amazing thing about the North Channel? It’s that everywhere you go, it changes. We moved 8 miles and area in a whole different world. It’s so very cool.

We have met many people, that live elsewhere and come here each summer because of the magnificent boating and anchoring that it offers. We totally get it. They rent boats out of Gore Bay and who knows, we may take another trek through these waters again without taking a month to get here…

Our favorite spots on this whole segment of Georgian Bay and the North Channel have been Killarney and this WhaleBack Channel. Killarney is just full of charm and beautiful waters. And the North Channel is simply amazing.

A few pics and then the next time we check in , we should be should be back in the states. Our next planned stop is Detour Village, Michigan

Yesterday was a beautiful crystal clear day, today it is a bit overcast and hazy again. You can easily tell one day from the next.

First few pics are traveling to John’s Island and the last several are of our anchorage. We had it all to ourselves and it was pretty cool.

If you question burgers ?? We have come to a compromise. Beyond Burgers. It‘s hard to stock 2 of everything and we both can deal with the beyond, so that has been the burger of choice on this trip.

Pics are from today. This anchorage is full of little islands. Hopefully tomorrow we can get some clearer pics when we leave. And if you look closely, Ollie is right next to me Of course.

We are anchored out with 3 other sailboats tonight. The sailboat in Picture 4 , while based out of Michigan now, started its life on Lake Champlain. Just kind of cool. The last two pics, we had a moment of sun…. 🤞it continues.

Thanks to Erin, I have a sign off—- Until Next time- MaDOG signing off… ( Mike and Des, Ollie Gizmo) Get it. I like it. 😎🐶🐾
